Born and raised in Denver Colorado, Chrissy started swimming competitively when she was eight years old, and has been teaching and coaching since she was nineteen. As a student at Colorado State University, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minored in Commercial Recreation and Tourism.

Her education and personal experience developed her ability to teach, coach and empathize with students faced with the challenge of learning a new skill. In 1996 she merged her background in psychology with her competitive swimming experience and started Jackson Hole Swimming. Her innovative teaching technique embraces a positive, progressive learning approach that makes learning how to swim simple and fast for individuals of all ages.
